Art for Future Generations
Midday of a Day, and Art
Contemporary art in everyday life, encountered at the Lobby Gallery Yeoul Hall of Sangyeok Middle School
Period: February 25 (Thu), 2026 ~ May 30 (Sat)
Location: Lobby Gallery Yeoul Hall, 1st Floor, Main Building, Sangyeok Middle School
A school is a place for learning, but it is also a space of daily life where most of the day is spent. This exhibition is an art education–based exhibition planned so that students can naturally encounter art within that familiar space and experience contemporary art without difficulty.
The artworks encountered at the end of the hallway or in one corner of the lobby may become a small opportunity to quietly awaken the senses within “just today,” rather than on “a day set aside to visit an exhibition.”
We hope that students approach art not as something they must “understand,” but first through the enjoyment of seeing, feeling, and experiencing. So that art is not an event reserved for special days, but a scene naturally enjoyed in everyday life.
This exhibition also carries another meaning. It serves as an opportunity to further consider ways for schools, local communities, and cultural arts organizations to connect and communicate through volunteer activities. We expect a virtuous cycle where small acts of participation accumulate and lead to a better cultural environment.
